Why is certification important?
HP Indigo certified substrates and media have undergone rigorous testing to ensure the substrate’s surface chemistry is compatible with HP’s ElectroInk technology.HP ElectroInk technology directs the ink electronically using charged particles in the ink. Surface chemistry is critical because the paper and the ink need to attract and bond to each other.
Using paper that isn’t certified can result in poor ink adhesion and reduced productivity from paper jams.
