TESLIN® Substrate: Highly Bondable Adhesion for Exceptional Durability and Information Security

The microporous matrix of TESLIN® substrate readily absorbs inks and toners, bonding printed text, graphics and photos to its surface nearly instantaneously to ensure that printed information stays secure longer than on other print materials. That distinguishes Teslin substrate from other synthetics that rely on coatings to adhere inks and toners to their smooth surfaces, making it easier for printed data to be scratched off or removed. In contrast, data printed on Teslin substrate is safely protected from normal everyday wear and tear.

  • Lamination-friendly for exceptional durability – The ability of Teslin substrate to bond with lamination films provides mechanical delamination strength that is up to 10 times stronger than other synthetic materials. Its micropores also quickly absorb polymers and other materials, enabling the material to form strong bonds to a variety of substrates without the use of adhesives, including:
    • Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
    • Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
    • Polypropylene (PP)
    • Polycarbonate (PC)
    • High-density polyethylene (HDPE)
    • Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS)
    • Sheet molding compound (SMC)
    • Polyurethane foam
    • Foam rubber
    • Synthetic rubber
    • Fiberglass
    • Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO)
  • Tamper-evident for information security – The ability of Teslin substrates unique polyolefin-silica matrix to absorb inks and toners enables it to provide tamper-evident security with no additional processing or expense.
